StratifAI
StratifAI is a precision oncology start-up developing AI-based biomarkers through its scalable discovery platform. Its models deliver prognostic and predictive insights from routinely available multimodal healthcare data to guide treatment decisions. Thanks to its groundbreaking technology, StraitifAI identifies responders to cancer drugs using artificial intelligence. For existing treatments, it collaborates with hospitals and insurance providers; while for new drug development, it partners with pharmaceutical companies. Its innovation is backed by clinical proof in dozens of peer-reviewed research studies. The company, founded in 2023, is based in Germany, with its headquarters in Dresden and offices in Berlin.
Role in the project
Within the ODELIA project, StartifAI contributes to WP4 and WP5 by leading the development of a web-based medical image viewer that enables the integration of swarm learning-based AI models into an easy-to-use interface. This enables clinicians and researchers alike to seamlessly interact with these models, making advanced AI capabilities more accessible.
Firas Khader

Firas Khader holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen, where he researched multimodal neural network architectures capable of effectively processing imaging and non-imaging data. Throughout his academic career, Firas has published multiple scientific papers across various high-impact journals and conferences. In addition, he graduated with a Master’s degree in Management, Business and Economics from RWTH Aachen.
Firas currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of StratifAI, a precision oncology startup founded in 2023 dedicated to developing and translating multimodal AI biomarkers that extract actionable insights from medical data to guide patient treatment.
Omar El Nahhas

Omar El Nahhas is a computer scientist specializing in cancer biomarker development using AI, with a publishing track-record featuring several Nature publications during his PhD at TU Dresden. His research focused on applying computer vision and AI to gigapixel whole-slide images of solid tumors for precision oncology.
Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of StratifAI, a precision oncology startup launched in 2023 developing multimodal AI models that deliver meaningful prognostic insights from routinely available histology images and clinical data to guide treatment decisions.
